geez.. why is everyone always whining... mistakes are made all the time. THAT'S HOW PEOPLE LEARN, correcting the past mistakes.
to those who don't find the folder, search for it (don't forget to mark "look for hidden files and folders" on advanced options). You will only find 2 folders with that name, one in documents and settings (programdata in vista) and one on the programs folder. just delete the ccp folder in documents and settings. Originally by: Sgt Blade hmm eve still dosn't want to start up even after deleting those files. i just see the see the slapsh screen flash at me then nothing happens. currently running the full trinity client
try rebooting your machine for a more aggressive approach, uninstall EVE, delete all cache files and re-install the client ______________________ Banana Phone!! |

In the real world you don't make mistakes without paying. Time is money
how much time did you lost? 30 minutes? 1 hour? :p when i make mistakes i "apologize", learn about it and get on with my life.. i don't tend to go out and say "epic fail", what do you earn with that? my discussion about this subject ends here (wrong thread). xD ______________________ Banana Phone!! |

Some people are confused about the CCP folder.
if you have one client installed, you have 2 CCP folders. One is your installation folder, it contains all the binaries, textures, models, sounds.. it's basically the game. so if you delete this folder, yes, you will be unable to play. The other folder contains only cached files and some other simple stuff.. if you delete this folder, eve will create another one. you will only lose things like player's pictures and stuff, they will be generated again when you start playing.
for those who are having problems with the client closing by itself, have you deleted your CCP cache folder too when you uninstalled the game? ______________________ Banana Phone!! |

too many people with too many different problems..
to all:
are unable to play eve? because of the wrong protocol thing or is it another problem?
about the "wrong protocol", have you deleted the folder and still have the same issue? can you find the folder? ______________________ Banana Phone!! |

if your client closes by itself:
go to the eve folder where you have the executables, run LogServer.exe, go to file, new workspace.. and then start eve.
error messages will be shown on the log. ______________________ Banana Phone!! |

i've done it, but ... no more informations ! only a splash screen for 1/10e second and nothing more.
nothing on logserver.exe? not even info messages?
